New office building and new machinery

[Translate to English:]

FRIZLEN remains on course for growth: New office space for current and future employees.

After almost twelve months of construction, the time had finally come at the beginning of February: the FRIZLEN office team was able to move into the new premises in the newly completed extension at Gottlieb-Daimler-Strasse 61 in Murr. With the two-story extension, the company has expanded its office space by around 300 square meters, which is roughly double the previous office space. The ground floor space has now been occupied by the sales team. A large meeting room has been set up on the upper floor. The remaining space will serve as reserve space for future growth. “Over the past 10 years, we have primarily expanded our production area, including our machinery. Now it was high time to expand the office as well. After all, the office team has more than doubled in size during this time. It was starting to get a little cramped,” says Ernst Gehrung, managing partner at FRIZLEN.

Julia Horn, who is responsible for human resources as commercial managing director, looks to the near future: "We want to significantly strengthen our team again in the coming months, especially in the technical and commercial areas. The additional space gained with the extension comes at just the right time. And while we're at it, we will also renovate large parts of the existing office building and bring it up to the latest technical standards."

At the same time, FRIZLEN is continuously expanding its production capacities. Since November 2016, employees have been bending the sheet metal parts for the resistance housings on a new TruBend 5085 bending machine from Trumpf, among other machines. The new TruBend 5085 is the seventh bending machine at FRIZLEN. Another TruBend 5085 is scheduled to be installed in April 2017. It will be equipped with an automatic tool changer to make small series production even more economical. Sheet metal processing has been one of the company's core competencies for over 30 years. FRIZLEN manufactures steel mesh resistors and the sheet metal parts for the resistor housings entirely in-house on a 2700 m² site.

“The new machines are primarily intended to increase our production capacity,” says Ernst Gehrung. “We have seen steady growth in sales every year since 2013. Our goal is to continue to provide our customers with delivery times that are as consistent as possible and, of course, the quality they have come to expect. That's why we are continuously investing in new equipment and regularly expanding our team with new employees.”

FRIZLEN manufactures power resistors for the electrical industry, which are delivered to over 60 countries from Murr in Swabia. The focus is on braking resistors for electrical drive technology, but also power resistors for energy technology and the renewable energy sector.

FRIZLEN has been active on the market for over 100 years. The company is managed by the third and fourth generations of owners and employs a total of around 110 people at its sole location in Murr, Swabia.
