Ballast resistor in diesel-electric hybrid vehicles

Diesel generators can offset the braking energy from regenerative E-drives up to a certain value by using its own moment. If this value is exceeded, FRIZLEN braking resistors support the system and enable the generator to remain within the desirable frequency range when electricity is being generated. For this application, liquid-cool resistors are also frequently used.
